book of sand, optional boss, the sexual tension between Faust and Mephistopheles. chimeric, synesthetic, orphic.
I write literary dark fantasy with a romantic/erotic slant; infinities, underworlds, cruel gods, doomed bargains, and intellectual seductions are my bread+butter. quite a lot of my work is derivative (because I never grew out of my overwhelming adolescent thirst for fictional predators), but all of my original work takes place in the same universe - I call it The Fold.
in the architect vs. gardener dichotomy of worldbuilding, I’m something more like a shaman, cobbling feral worlds together out of scraps (magnetic poetry, tarot draws, random number generators) in a 1:1 ratio of chaos to intelligent design. my stories have more in common with wolves than machines; their internal logic is more biological than mechanical, more quantum than clockwork.
I studied English, philosophy, and creative writing at various Universities of Texas (Arlington, Dallas, Austin). if I ever win any awards, you’ll be the first to know (but I probably won’t). Tonberry is my spirit animal (it’s more fun for both of us if you underestimate me). Derrida is my safe space (I’m always-already lost). I collect tarot decks, colorful inks, and silicone dragon dicks.
when I'm not writing, check my pulse.
